A staple cone yarn is one which is manufactured from small length strands of fibres. This means that all natural fibres like cotton, flax, wool or silk have small length of strands. So the yarn that is produced from these is staple cone yarn. However, there is one exception in this natural fibres category. This is the reeling silk which can go up to 1 km length after extracted from the mulberry plant. The yarn from reeling silk is not a staple cone yarn.
