Organza is a light weight fabric which is made by plain weaving. It is a sheer type of fabric which means that it is woven at very low density. Organza Fabric is transparent and comparatively firm in nature. Due to its breathable and transparent nature, organza fabric is used to make other, thicker type of apparel clothes, as well as few other household textiles. Organza was primarily made only from silk fiber. However, after the advent of fully synthetic fibers such as nylon and polyester, it has become possible to make organza fabric from other materials as well. The term organza is derived from 'organize' and was originated in the area following the Silk Road. Organza fabric is widely used in western fashion industry to make clothes which require light weight and transparent fabric.
