SPINFED is a state undertaking in Rajasthan. It started its operation with effect from 1st April,1993, bringing under one roof. Four distinct co-operative spinning mills in the textile sector are Rajasthan Rajya Sahkari Spinning and Ginning Mills Federation Ltd., (SPINFED) is the apex organization in the Co-Operative sector of the state to plan and implement cotton processing programmes in their entirety, including manufacture of quality cotton yarn and its marketing. The SPINFED units have become a powerful force in the textile industries of the state.Rajasthan has a name for cotton, Sri Ganganagar and Hanumangarh districts have virtual monopoly in cotton production, now new area like Pali, Nagaur, Jalore, Jodhpur, Bhilwara, Banswara, Ajmer, Dausa, Alwar and Bharatpur district also have evinced interest in this crop.
