Job Description:

Assistance on IFRS accounting issues and developments including treatment of high value and complex M&A and non-systematic transactions, impairments and dispositions, revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, derivatives, etc. and other financial accounting and reporting matters that may arise.
Assist in managing the process for implementing new standards/policies across the group and to ensure appropriateness and consistency of policy setting and application
Delivery of Technical accounting training annual comprehensive IFRS updates for and ad hoc training as required
Preparation, maintenance, communication and governance of technical accounting papers
Assist in the preparation of issues logs and judgement papers for technical compliance
Research new or proposed accounting standards and summarize potential impacts.
Assist in automating processes and procedures and in the operational implementation of accounting policies.
Provide training and guidance related to new policies and standards as they are adopted.
Assist in the assessment of business and reporting impacts of complex accounting matters.
Analyze the impact of emerging accounting standards on the Company and assist in implementing and educating divisions of necessary changes; ensure proper disclosure in public filings.
Assist with corporate accounting review of significant new customer contracts for appropriate revenue recognition considerations.
Facilitate knowledge sharing across the organization.
Serve as liaison with internal and external auditors.
Assist with special projects and perform various other tasks and ad hoc analysis as assigned.

Requirements:

Financial professional should be dedicated to delivering accurate and timely work while utilizing an in-depth knowledge of IFRS accounting principles and compliance
A Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance + ACCA, CA, CPA or equivalent is MUST.

Minimum 6 years relevant experience (Big 4 qualification an advantage).
Audit of global multi-nationals (i.e. group reporting) with multi currencies would be preferable.
Extensive IFRS experience, having an understanding of IFRS and appreciation for the risks in applying and financial reporting implications of IFRS
Ability to identify IFRS problem areas in a set of financial statements / fact pattern and to recommend solutions
Open minded, decisive, strong business mindset & flexible
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Excellent writing skills relating to consultations, discussion papers and opinions as well as clearly documenting / explaining review
Has the ability to work autonomously and with minimal guidance, but also knowing when to escalate issues encountered
Working in groups / teams with a focus on developing team members in the process
Ability to research issues at a detailed level and having enthusiasm for tackling complex issues
Excellent facilitation skills (including presentation style) and ability to answer questions
Experience in working with MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power Point

Job Types:Full-time, Contract

Salary: 800,000.00 to 1,200,000.00 /year
